How come my 1999 chevy S10 ZR2 does not play CD's bought from a store?
These are NOT burned cd’s they are 100% legit cd’s i bought from our local mall and duno what to do. everytime i place a CD into the factory cd head unit it says "Err" which i assume means error and spits the cd back out. is this normal or is it possible it needs to be cleaned or is it just broken? i just need ideas on what to do, other than tearing my factory head unit out and replacing it with an aftermarkent unit. thanks!

Are you a pretender? what do you think of this?
I’ve been ‘pretending’ for a long, long time. I can get to a point where i believe I’m someone else, and my personality can change dramatically in the space of a few days or weeks. It gives me the confidence of the Hollywood actors and Rock stars that i admire ,and it gives me a way of escaping the self-destructive and negative thoughts that i frequently have about myself. It really is amazing to see how much people change toward me when I’m enthralled in one of my roles.
However, in the long term i think that this has damaged my self-esteem even more and i have got to a point where i have totally lost touch with any sense of identity.

I totally relate to this person ^ my life growing up was so traumatic with the verbal and physical abuse I never wanted to live in reality but I was so afraid of drugs and seen what alcohol did to my father and to us I never wanted to go that route to escape.
I withdrew within myself and found that pretending to be someone else seemed to make all the pain go away.

My addiction was pretending, and believe me I am one heck of a good actress but I am not bragging to be prideful but ashamed of my double life. I have befriended people even here under a fairly seasoned name whom I talk to as both my true self and also as a man.
I don’t desire to be a man, I don’t want a woman. I am in fact married and have kids. I am comfortable with playing the male role from years of playing it with my own sister and also my best childhood girlfriend.
I would flip back and forth from playing a female role to a male role, change my voice, sometimes my appearance and just go all out acting the part.
I must tell you that I was molested at the tender age of 7 and again at 11 and then raped at 13-14. As I said my father was both verbally and physically abusive and this fantasy world my sister and I built helped ease the pain of the reality we didn’t want to face.

Now I am a grown woman and still retreat within myself every time life gets hard or someone is yelling at me. Any trait they exhibit that reminds me of my childhood trauma will set me off and I become one of the characters I have created in my mind.

I have not only created them in my mind but now I have created them and given them life online, to the extent of befriending a wonderful girl as both a female and male. Sometimes I would feel there needed to be more of a contrast between the real me and his character so I would act like the men I knew in my life. Sometimes my male character would be sweet and kind, romantic, adoring and others sexist and vulgar and a womanizer.
But I was in control of things and I wasn’t going to let them get out of hand, I could stop at any minute. Or could I?

Here I am now regretting that I have led so many people on but one in particular have gotten so close to as the male character that I will hurt her if I tell her the truth. She likes both of us, she trusts both of us (I think him more than me now) I tried many times to get out of it, I created love interests, old gf’s, lovers, tried to pull away from her, tried to make him move on from her life even recently knowing how to push her away from him by trying to force her to make a decision about him but then the guilt sets in. Not the guilt of lying to her about who I really am but the guilt of letting her get attached to someone that doesn’t even really exist, how can I have him walk out of her life? she did nothing to deserve it, she has been the perfect friend.
I tried to leave recently because I wanted to make things right with God and I resolved to tell her the truth. But I couldn’t but instead created this account/profile hoping to get some suggestions how to best handle this.

But nothing less than the truth will do, and I owe that to her and yes I know it will hurt her I have cried so many times to the point of losing sleep over this, my family has been neglected my mind has been tormented thinking about what it will do to such an innocent precious child of God. How could I have committed this heinous crime against her? What did she do to deserve being the victim of my head games?

I must tell her the truth and I am scared to death not what she will think of me because I deserve her hatred but my fear is that she will never trust another soul again as a result of my betrayal and deceit.

I never intended things to get this far I just got caught up in the moment and now I must come clean, I am a pretender who wants to be healed.

This is my confession now God help me to do the right thing.

In the case you don’t like that suggestion, then you should at least talk to someone as yourself. Maybe its all an act, maybe its not. But you should tell people what happened. The first step toward healing is facing your past.

The thing is your afraid of conflict. And this situation will obviously create a lot of it.
